I only have a bit of crowding I need to get 2 molars extracted for braces on the bottom row so that means i would only have 12 teeth on the bottom row and 12 on the top is that normal? And does it not cause my face/jaw to change shape? I’m concerned

Hey I'd like to know that why mini dental implants are placed because in january2023 i got braces and now i had 4 tooth extraction completed my sockets are completely healed....my orthodontics said that after my teeth get straight they have to apply mini dental implants can you tell the reason (i had crowded teeth ...right side incisors were overlapping ) i had two upper premolar retained milk teeth which were removed and my orthodontics removed 2nd premolars from upper jaw and 1st premolar from lower jaw
