Tim Keller sermons via Gospel in Life: Without a judgment day,we would live in a hopeless world. But if there is a judgment day, none of us could bear the weight of judgment. However,in Christ we have already been judged. In Christ we can live between two judgments: the judgment we've already passed through and the coming judgment of the world.

This sermon was preached by Rev. Timothy Keller at Redeemer Presbyterian Church on January 23, 2000.

"The practice of non-violence requires a belief in divine vengeance... Violence thrives today simply by the belief that God will not take the sword." I do not know this Miroslav Volf, but I must read him in more depth.

That's so true. I've felt the depressed despair. So strongly felt Bc I thought there won't be no judge for anything.

The judgment seat (Bema Seat) of Christ is when crowns will be rewarded to believers. A time of examination and reward. Romans 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Rev. 20; and there is also the fear of The Lord. Prov. 9:10

Any person is a responsible being and was given free will. To simply say Jesus Christ died on the cross for me and became sin in order to save me is half the truth. Unfortunately the message of salvation overemphasizes salvation through the cross of course we fall short because we sin and that is part of our fallen nature but we have the breath of God within us. Bearing good fruit is essential for salvation to take root within you. Do not think that the cross is your crutch . Although Tim informs us about good works he emphasizes that only Christ’s death can pay the price. Not true. In order to participate in salvation you have to wear the yolk of Christ, enter the narrow gate bear your own cross and bear your own fruit. The thief who was crucified with Jesus bore the fruit of asking Jesus for forgiveness and his fruit and his cross was humility by confessing that he was a sinner and he asked Jesus for forgiveness. The fruit you bear lays the path to the cross. If you take the body and blood of Jesus simply in remembrance the you fall short because you did not believe that the communion was the true blood and body of Christ Jesus. The fruit is our responsibility and the reward of salvation is God’s.Always be truthful in giving, repenting and forgiving others.
