So this makes me nervous. It doesn’t say what it costs to have/use API. It uses the word “subscription” by you never chose a subscription, or a model. So they’re just randomly going to take who-know-how-much money from you whenever they want? Their system is so murkily set up when it comes to payments.

I have had a credit of $18 and until 1st of May I've used only $1.90 ! And it showed it's Expired at 1st of May! Until yesterday I could use it but from today I couldn't! It's a shame they don't let people use this $18 credit! As I'm trying to test OpenAI API on my apps / using asp net core / and now it throws an error when I run my app / localhost / 500 error and message obviously unsufficient fund / no credit available! / . They should create a developer account separately obviously with a limited token request for testing purposes! Like Syncfusion GUI components! They have a free version!

I had been using the GPT Chat API with the Google Docs plugin very well for a couple of months, but now I get this message:

"Your OpenAI API free trial is expired or inactive. Setting up an OpenAI paid account should help accelerate the activation."

That API KEY wasn't free forever? How can I activate the use of the API again without having to pay?

I do not understan why thez don't offer payment over paypal.. I really don't trust OpenAI
