A couple tips for building this farm 1) as others have noted, put the fire out with a shovel when you're done using it. If the chunk is unloaded, fire damage accumulates and kills the allays when you come back within loading distance. The fire can be reignited with flint and steal or flame arrow.

2) The first time I put the fire out the allays glitched out of the torture chamber. I replaced the block on top with a glass block. I also added glass blocks to the diagonals of the torture chamber - at 2:07 he puts a temp block - put 8 glass blocks ALL AROUND, not just in the 4 cardinal directions (you may have to remove one later to put the chest). This seemed to fix the problem.

3) Add vines to the silverfish killing area to prevent entity cramming (ladder may also work but haven't tested it). This allows you to "save up" silverfish while you're fiddling around in a nearby enchantment table.

4) As others have noted, don't use stone / cobblestone for this build. I used concrete and glass.

While was breading them, these mf pushed me into that hole, had to break the blocs to get out, ofc they all escaped and on top of that when i was bringing them back in, creeper showed up and blew half of the shit up. I love minecraft.

Make sure your sword does not have fire aspect or it will break the armor stand 7:39

BEDROCK METHOD
You will need the trident method. Build the 4 piston and 8 observer contraption (see below), making sure the killing zone is on the corner of the border. I recommend making it inside the zone, with the help of sings to remove the water, but you could lure them into a single hole like it's done in this video.

Tip: If you dont want your allays to die make sure to extinguish the campfire with shovel when you dont farming. They do take damage, just very slowly, so if you let allays take dmg for too long they will eventually die

splash the silverfish with oozing after 10 seconds and you have a working slime farm

edit: i got 14 stacks of slimeballs with 3 potions of oozing

*Note - if you don't have a leash, give allay a dirt block and throw dirt blocks in the place you want allay to go.
The allay will pick up blocks you give them and its probably more consistent than pulling it in.

FYI: When the chunk that the farm is in is being lazy loaded, the damage obtained by the fire can accumulate resulting in dead allays.

No silverfish are draining out toward the armor stand - I can see the silverfish particle effect so I know the potion is dispensing properly. Any ideas what might be going on? Java edition btw

The time it took me to finish this farm on a new map is unfathomable. However, the cherry on the cake wasn't even this: in the video there is Stone beneath the Silverfish. I followed the video literally like that, and all of them ate through the ground, had to nuke them with lava, iron golems and all sorts of biological weapons (poisons) to get rid of them.

However, no Allays were harmed during the making and the farm works good now! Thanks for the tutorial :D

If anyone is experiencing trouble where the building blocks are dissapearing, do not use stone bricks as your building blocks as the silverfish will remove these. This happened to me twice and I had to get all the allays back into the chamber
