100% and this goes for most martial arts. personally i think boxing is well suited to street fights because from the start you're training to punch with power, speed and accuracy and you'll be pretty competent in 4-6 months. the big take home when you're learning how to defend yourself is the confidence. man, if you have a kid that's being bullied taking them to boxing or whatever class is one of the best gifts you can give them.
