In Peru same-sex marriage is still illegal, and non-binary gender is also not legally recognized. I also think conversion therapy is still practiced or at least legally protected. Peru is quite possible the least pro-LGBTQ country in Latin America (legislatively speaking, I can’t speak to the culture) although all of Latin America has some of the highest crime rates against the LGBTQ community. But I mean if you feel safer there, you are very welcome to stay.

He could be in the first steps of rebranding. Moving to Peru because he feels unsafe is not entirely true. He’s in an Ayahuasca retreat so he can claim that he’s been enlightened and now knows what he said and done has not been the way and will come back asking for forgiveness. I won’t be surprised if his physical appearance eventually changes back to a Bi-sexual man. I don’t believe he’ll go through with Ayahuasca. His mind is not equipped for that level of enlightenment and he knows it. It’s all to keep with the illusion.

I wish him luck. I also hope he stays away from the poorer neighborhoods... they hate women in 98% of Latin America.. very misogynistic and high levels of women and girl trafficking and so much more. He better stay in the richer neighborhoods only. I say this as a Hispanic woman... he needs to be careful. Just stay in richer neighborhoods only. The poorer neighbors have the highest crime and violence rates towards girls and women in the world... it is no joke.
