Carmen's '81 Mk1 Golf GTI still has its original and very rare Ascot Grey paint and is in absolute mint condition. Combined with the 15" glass coated BBS RM wheels, the motorsport roll-cage, Sandtler Sponsor R bucket seats, Sandtler 5-point harness and a Sparco Racing steering-wheel, the looks of the car is complete. No carpets, no back-seats, no roofing, no ventilation, no power-steering, no NOTHING! This car is as pure as it gets.
Adding up to the great looks does a 2.0L 16 valve Mk3 GTI engine swap with single throttle-body conversion by Marco's Motorsport, boosting up the power to 194 HP. Getting up to speed means braking hard at some point, which is made possible with a Mk2 G60 brake-kit.
Trust me, this thing FLIES. And listen to that engine note. This Mk1 sounds and looks perfect from any angle.
