My dad bought a new one in 1965 to replace our 1959 bug. What a huge difference in room. We could use it with mom, dad and three kids. He eventually gave it to my brother in about 1972 and my brother put a Corvair engine in it. Had to change the ring-gear because the Corvair engine turned in a different direction. I learned to drive in that bus and took my drivers test in it in November 0f 1968. As with every other thing he ever had, my brother ran the thing into the ground. I am not sure if he junked it or sold it for pennies. I wish I had it now. Those things have become valuable. At one time you could get a used one for hundreds of dollars. This collection is the best I have ever seen. Thanks for sharing.
