What a black eye for that police department. Not at all necessary for the "tough guy" woman cop to take him down in a headlock. Police accountability is needed badly all across America.

This is a huge deal. The National Guard just behaved belligerently towards a civilian on American soil. This needs to be on every news station.

Have to ask, what jurisdiction did the National Guard General have to intervene in this reporters job? If the National Guard was only there to assist in the evacuation, it really seems like the General had an ego problem and escalated the situation needlessly.

Everyone of those officers involved should be fired, prosecuted and sued in federal court,

The National Guard Officer assaulted the journalist!!!

Whomever is in the military uniform should be charged with assault. He started the whole thing. Evan tried to walk away and the military guy got in his face again...so much that the police had to keep him from your reporter. The military guy started all this and the rest of the people just followed along after Evan was assaulted! This is disgraceful treatment to your reporter!

No, what America should be outraged about is no criminal charges will result against these officers for their conduct.

That "Be Safe. Be Kind" sign painted on the wall in the background of this outrageous arrest only adds to the Orwellian aspect. I noticed the State Trooper did not get involved. The local cops in the civilian outfits are way out of line. And that Ohio National Guard Army officer is a horses azz and needs to be fired. And he is the Adjutant General? Ooooh, someone is gonna retire early this year.

The 'bullys' here appear to be from the Sheriffs office rather than Police Dept.; plus, the State Patrol Major did absolutley nothing to calm this situation down. The only one I saw who was attempting to do the right thing was the State Patrol Sergeant.

End qualified immunity! Make each officer personally liable! As long as you fear integrity and accountability, you are NOT the good guys

The fact that they did nothing when he put hands on the reporter is infuriating.

The "Shorty" General thought he was in charge and wanted to throw his little weight around. Why ??? What was the problem ??? These military "hot heads" need to RETIRE !!!! 🙄

Why are we pretending 100, 000 people is a small town?!! Police departments of all sizes should be held to the same standards
