Tightening a Palatal Expander in Your Mouth

This is not fun, but for the next couple of weeks, my parents will be tightening this apparatus in my mouth. :/

Lifesaver!!!! This is a completely different perspective which I needed in order to figure out how to do it. I was struggling this morning and this video helped. Oh my gosh! It's been 4 years since this video, but I only have this horrible thing put in a few days ago and I feel terrible. I can barely eat anything, I have a lisp and that metal hurts my tongue so bad. How long does it take to get used to it? And can you even lead a normal life whit this thing?

My son had one years ago (he's 21 years old now) and I used to turn the "key" for him. It wasn't fun for me either! ;-)

If you have any pain on your tongue from it pressing on the metal RPE, Tongue Guard will help. My son had an infected cut on his tongue from the metal and nothing would help. He was in terrible pain.
