I just finished Arcane, and this scene broke me. Along others, of course, but this so sticks in my head. I wasn't too much into Ekko, and Jinx wasn't redeemed for me yet; I'd never thought a simple dance of those two would be one of the worst, best, most heartbreaking scenes that makes me physically ache. That's an example for how the characters are written: even in the rushed 2nd season you bond with them in the most unexpected moments. And for this, I love this show.

Sometimes I drink at night and watch this and reminisce on a very special dance that I had back in high school with my sweetheart that I lost way to early in life thanks to a rainwater puddle and a stupid effing tree. It is like a punch in the gut, but I keep coming back to it because the pain is what keeps me going, I suppose.
