honestly, the parts hunt is what makes this channel somewhat of a hybrid between a tech channel and a travel channel and I'm here for it!

When you fire up the board with a screwdriver, you know she is legit :D

As always enjoying the scrapyard, and bargain hunts. So many videos over such a short timespan is insanely cool. Awesome you put your support crew in the finale. Hate to see the trip come to an end, get some rest and maybe take a little vacation.

That x99 for 16$ was a crazy deal. Even the Chinese x99 boards cost at least 80$ for a decent one.

Good score Bryan.
Good to see Marco back in the channel helping you out again.
Stay safe and have fun over there. 👍

Oh man, next time I'll go with you guys for sure. Marco asked me if I wanted to go, but since it was my first time in Taiwan I wanted to take the time to just be a tourist for a couple of days. But now that I see this, I kinda regret it, haha. Cheers my man!

Hell of a deal on that X99 and 10-core Xeon.

Finding that much LGA1150 goodness is lucky. The G3258 anniversary Pentium and i7-5775C were the only times Intel were thinking outside the box at all during the dark decade of them rehashing the same 4core rubbish over and over and they were both LGA1150. Haswell also fixed the hyperthreading bug that Sandy and Ivy bridge had where no longer the i5 would beat the i7 in certain workloads and games so it was the first time an i7 was the best buy. This all makes LGA1150 the hardest motherboards to track down.

I love how even if you're there for Computex you still have time for a parts hunt... 👍😁

Loved the x99 combo purchase. I am still running x99 platform myself and it still performs good. Thanks for the awesome content.

Those scrap yards are right up my ally, as I always make sure to check e-waste bin when I'm at my local county recycling drop off, thankfully I never have to pay, just be quick about it, and don't get hurt👍

I live in Taiwan and I just learned about this place. Wow thanks!

its the bios batery that causes most damage to boards when wet - the 2011 floods in se qld showed so much damage just from electrolosys. amazing how much damage a 3v cell can do.

the X99 board + Xeon for that price is definitely my favourite deal you got. X99 is such a good platform still, that good I even use it as my main - 5930K/RX 480

Great entertaining and educational video!

I remember back in my hometown, in the Dominican Republic 🇩🇴, when I was around 12 i had my first computer, it as a slim Compaq with slim CD DRIVE, pentium 3 ~800 MHz, 256MB RAM AND 10 GB HDD. I went to this place where they sold everything you can think of, and I got myself a 64MB graphics card. It was So special because I was learning how to “fix” 😂 computers. My dad bought me the Graphics. I started earning a bit of cash here and there after having my PC.
