I’m glad it works for you. I ditched my BRS after two summers. Now use a Soto Windmaster and a 900 ml Evernew pot. Stove, 110g fuel can fit inside - a little heavier and that’s okay with me.

I love your channel. Hope the tail is treating you well.

We have the exact same setup. Some say the 750 is a little bigger than necessary, but I love it. I even carry the polished long handled spoon--and for the same reason. I don't like the collapsible spoons. I do carry the orange Toaks sack instead of a rubber band because I like throwing my lighter, spoon, and top in it while I'm cooking/eating.

I have been using the exact same setup for years. Absolutely love it!!!

Nice video! I had a dangerous problem with the brs stove. The arms warped during use and I nearly spilled boiling water on my lap. I switched to the Pocket Rocket Deluxe as it still fits inside the 750ml toaks

I have the same setup - my pot is a generic brand, but let's be honest, they're all the same. Only addition I have is an Optimus windscreen which everything nests in quite nicely!

I would get rid of the 750ml pot and go with the Toaks Light 650ml pot...You won't notice the size difference but you will notice the weight difference. The Light 650ml only weighs 78g, including the lid but the 750ml weighs 103g, including the lid. The 650ml is still big enough to take a 100g gas canister, the BRS, a lighter, a folding spork, a shortened plastic stirring spoon and a windshield. Rubber bands are actually quite heavy, so I would get yourself a DCF pot bag to keep your pot and all it's contents safely inside. A tread Light Gear drawstring bag for the 650ml only weighs 3.5g.

You're in a burn ban? How does the flame from your canister stove differ from the flame of an alcohol stove?

Are you boiling water with that only or can you cook food?
really interested in cooking food after hiking. Maybe a steak and potatoes in an evening eggs or pancakes in the morning with a bunch of bacon.

How does this compare to a jetboil? I'm currently packing for a deer hunting trip where I'll likely pack out any deer i kill over about 4-8 miles, so weight and space are a consideration. I have the jetboil and I'll use that for this trip but in the future i wonder

If you’re only eating out of the Toaks pot why not cut down the spoon to fit inside it?

I really don’t see the logic I’m not using the alcohol stove because of burn ban. You’ve just switched one fuel source for another. There is still flame.
