Three months in the shop for THAT? The vehicle was still operable. They should have driven it and then put it in the shop when the shop was ready with the parts. Then that 3 day rental would have been perfect.

So a little dent in the bumper prevented them from driving it until parts arrived? What were they smoking? Shop prob charged insurance lot fees for it just sitting there waiting for parts. All while the owner could have just kept on driving it... Someone was not thinking very logically..

This is why my dad always taught me that regardless of what you’re trying to do, when it comes to turning and pulling into traffic etc, who gives a fuck what the traffic is doing, don’t worry about them until the car in front of you has gone

My 2013 Honda Accord was rear ended worse than this by a minivan and costed 7k to fix. I drove it for 2 months before the shop got all the parts. 3 days is correct for the rental.

This is why I loved my 2000 Dodge Ram. The cars and trucks now are built like toys. The 70's and 80's had some of the best built vehicles, in my opinion. I can't believe a slow hit costed this much. This is why car insurance is so high. 😢

What shop did you go to to pay 6000$ for a scuff and tread bar?!?! Most collision shops would bang it out putty it and put a new bar on, that is absurd
I had a dent the size of a beachball in my passenger quarter panel, 2500 and 2 weeks, no new parts but it looks brand new

I think after the age of 50 you need a yearly driving test to make sure you’re capable of driving and not getting distracted and making sure you can actually drive the speed limit.
