I am very happy to say that I happened to look in the right garbage can last night at the storage facility where I occasionally find some goodies. Last night along with the two vintage Tonka heavy equipment trucks that I found I found one of these beautiful calculators in brand new condition with the eggshell white case. I dug through my junk electronic wires and found a mini USB to charge it up overnight and the battery is good. Very excited about this fine but I'm not sure if I can find much of a use for it since I'm not a student. Although I am a pipefitter welder, I'm sure there are some tricks I can do with this but this is really cool. I would like to keep it but I'll probably try to sell it for like 50 bucks on Marketplace Maybe. Otherwise it's just going to sit in my toolbox tech drawer.

I’m not very good at maths, but the whole TI-series seem to be very good. Regarding what is allowed in schools, actually the TI-89 Titanium also has the text “#1 brand recommended by teachers” on its packaging, which is quite funny. 😄

The funny thing is there are programs for the TI-84CE that you can download that will turn it into a CAS calculator. However, most teachers aren’t nieve and will force you to set your 84 back to factory settings before taking a test.

Mine works normally but sometimes theres a dark spot in the right corner of it, it doesnt affect how it works but its annoying

Ha ha. The HP prime graphing calculator is the best calculator in the world and it's not even close. This calculator is brand new and still 8 years behind the prime.
