I love the attitude of this man. There's no superiority mindset. He just wants to help others where they are.

Straight up wisdom----> "If something needs to be sweetened, then we need to check whether we need to consume it"

not everything has to be candied. Once you break your sugar dependency, you can taste food the way it was meant to be tasted

A true Elder. Wise words being spoke. Why is it so many old people demand elder-like respect just because they have survived? This man has thrived into his old age.

I was told by a pharmacy drug representative that milk is but cow puss also, milk shouldn't be consumed when you have a cold because it produces more mucus in the body (which I find to be true).

Imagine him around 25- I wonder did he know all this back then tho, , , because his wisdom what he speaks is very attractive, ,

His pallet is different then western culture, you can tell he sees life very different, he literally said the difference between dead water 💦 vs living water, , dead salt vs living or active salt with sulfur that leaves the body ( black salt) so right there his mind is so advanced on nutrition, we are never taught this in school

A few of his choices he mentioned he would use as an educator to get people who eat sugar to try with their recipes in the beginning, , , I’m guessing these would eventually be slowly taken away a lil bit as your pallet changes in time
♦️But first ask yourself if it needs to be sweetened do I need to consume it ❓
He would choose a coconut oil
He would choose a mountain spring water
He would choose a black salt
He would choose agave (in very small amount )
Coconut 🥥 water( base for almond milk)
Dates

I don't use stevia powder or extract either. I prefer to use dates or fruits to sweeten. However, when I was a part of the NOLA Veggie Fest this year, I met Michelle Claiborne with Edible City Gardens in New Orleans. While assisting & interviewing her onstage during her Raw Food demo, she had a lot of the fresh herbs she grows and one was the stevia plant. It was the first time I got to taste it fresh. From then on I determined I would only use when fresh & suggest the same to others. So GOOD!

Dates are my favorite sweetener too. You can even soak them and use the water as a sweetener.

I wonder if people know about the vegan and vegetarian Caribbean men and women who live in rural villages that are living over 150, sometimes 200 years. Longevity comes from diet AND lifestyle. Fresh, natural, wholesome foods and natural environment the way nature intended.

Sugar and oil I agree with. But if you’re active and playing sports I wouldn’t cut salt. I cut salt from 2 months and ended up in the hospital I play basketball in a league. I felt seriously tired and weak. And I was peeing a lot. Ended up having dangerously low sodium levels. Within 3 days i was back to normal.

Good information, good to know about the indian black salt. As I move more into a raw diet, I want to know how to keep from getting to skinny, from lack of fats and not getting enough calories. I guess avocadoes and almondmilk is the way to go. Plus coconut.
