Exploring Roosevelt Avenue for spots to eat brings me to the corner of Warren St and Roosevelt Avenue in Corona , Queens

📍One block from Junction Boulevard 7 train stop. Intersection of Warren and Roosevelt.

I was recommended this spot by Bruce, a gentleman from Ecuador whom Inhad recently met. He was definitely right about it!

There are a few different vendors and trucks selling similar types of Ecuadorian food. Music blasting, sidewalk seating and the rumble of the train overhead gives this a unique vibe.

It may appear chatoic, but the food was great!. Got this overloaded plate for 20 bucks. WOW!

Mote a type of corn with large kernels chicharon, baked potatoes with pan scrappings, toasted corn and Yapingacho, which are mashed potatoes stuffed with cheese and veggies and cooked on the flattop

The chicharon was tender, moist and crisp and really good. The Yapingacho was good dipped into the aji sauce which had a slight kick. Never had this before. The potato with the scrapings was interesting

It was a lot of food, even for 2 people.

Check out this corner of Roosevelt Avenue and experience the people and cuisine of Ecuador.

They forgot to give the salsa de Cebolla ( salsa curtida de Cebolla) which it makes everything come together and taste more delicious, next time ask, you will love it!
