In this video I show you a cool Luminar trick, that lets you use Luminar as a plug-in in Lightroom and still keep your settings editable - using Photoshop as a go-between.

Great hack! Though, how large are these PSD files now?

Was the video shot in real time? When I click 'apply' it can take a long, long, long time (the longest so far is 65 minutes!) to get back into Lightroom. I'm using the windows version.

Hi Thomas, thank you for sharing this workflow! This is so convenient to be able to have updatable effects, however I am having trouble getting it to work. After I open my RAW file as a smart object in photoshop, I add Luminar as a filter, and then make changes in the program. I hit "Apply" once I am done, as you show in your video, but when I re-open the Luminar filter, there is a blank slate in the Luminar window. No filters, no parameters, nothing. I have the most recent versions of both programs. Have they eliminated this loop hole through updates possibly, or do you have any suggestions?
