After you paint do you click apply to get it fixed or how does it know you are done with it??

this software couldve been really good, but that masking tool is very annoying, once I applied my edit, the masking basically blends into the image, if I wanna tweak some more, I have to do it all over again. that's VERY BAD. i paid 100 for this and I'm going back to lightroom.
