Great advice. I started with a budget. Once i saw how much money i was waisting on coffe drinks and eating "cheap meals" out i almost fainted. $4000.00 a year!!! I immediately stoppwd that. Next i took one area of my life per month. Utilities then insurance, then toiletries ect and worked on cutting those costs. I started watching your vidoes with your help i scaled back and found money to save everywhere!! I didn't have to get a second job. Now i am in a place after paying off debts that i finally have more money than month!!!! Great felling

We have an income issue in my home, 2 people living off of $9/hr. Bills are almost rock bottom. But i can definitely tell you budget is so important. I dont trust banks so other then a few bills that need to be paid via debit card, i use cash and envelopes and a safe. I budget every expense (except food and cleaning products) I have envelopes for laundry, gasoline, rent(have to use money order), Car Insurance, Car Registration, Renters Insurance. and what i leave in bank is Electric, Internet, Student Loan, Cell Phones, Bank fee, Atm Fees. (I always keep $100 extra in bank as a just in case so no worries about mathematical errors and no overdraft mistakes) We get paid every 2 weeks, so we get 2 pay checks a month (except 2 months a year we get a 3rd check which we use for emergency/savings funds). total bills via debit card are $240 a month and total bills for cash items are $600 a month so each paycheck need to leave $120 in the bank and every paycheck need to withdraw $300+ (the plus is food and cleaning supplies (usually $40-50)) we barely make it check to check. only saving grace is every 6 months we get a 3rd check, all of that check (except the $40-50 for food cleaning supplies, $6.5 atm fees, $30 gasoline and $10 laundry to get us through those 2 weeks all the rest isn't needed for bills so the remainder goes into envelope savings. which will give us about $400 can add to thing not in budget is oil changes to truck so that comes out of savings for now.) Budget is vital, and to get ahead, one needs to spend less or make more.

My husband is the only one who works, and he does seasonal work, so for us, it is really important to be aware of our money. Live paycheck to paycheck would mean a long time "in the rain" for us when he has 4 months without work available.

We don’t live paycheck to paycheck, but we do have an income problem. Just working more hours is not the best answer, so we live very frugally and do a lot of things ourselves to avoid extra expenses.

Great advice.  I think it is important to have at least 3 months of bills in our savings if you can.

Can you please start doing some DIY projects since the holidays are coming up. Would love to see some Christmas gift ideas. 😊 I agree with you totally but remember some people have to live that way I am thankful I don’t have too.

It's an income problem, $500 a week for a family of 3 is just not enough.

How can I budget when my husband is a business owner. And he never knows how much money he is going to take home at the end of the week? He has his own construction business. One week he could make like let's say 700 then the next week he makes 300. It's never a set amount he makes. I want to budget but I'm really stuck in how can I ?
