Woow. I increased my breath hold time from 60 seconds to 95 seconds in just half an hour. Edit after one day: 2 minutes and 10 seconds. Thank you so much. You made my day 💃

I'm 66 years old and for 2 months have been practicing the Co2 and O2 methods from another video. I started with 1 minute 30 secs, but achieved 3 minutes 30 secs yesterday 😊

wow, this is great for relaxation too. I increased my breath-hold from a little over a minute or so to very close to 2 minutes, probably about 30 or 40 seconds increase, and felt really relaxed afterwards. What a great video!

This is crazy! I didn’t think I’d be able to do this but on my first breath hold I got to 2 minutes. I’m excited to see how much longer I can do this for!
Thank you so much

Getting into a new sport and watching a ton of videos, this was amazing, I would always fight myself and really force the 2 min hold but using the method of the body scam keep my mind much more relaxed and almost distracted to be able to push more the 2 min hold. Great video as long as you actually follow the steps!

I recently started mermaiding and my biggest challenge is breath-holding (I could only hold for maybe 10-15 seconds). I've tried other techniques that didn't work for me. I just tried your techniques and I was able to hold for 1:18! I'll practice frequently to build it up. Thank you for such a comprehensive approach!

I did this method in three tries and made excellent progress from 1 minute to 2 minutes and 20 seconds. Thank you, you are a true teacher

Thank you for this. 1.45 was my time. This is a big achievement for me. I was never able to hold my breath even for this long. I will keep on practicing to get to that 2 mins mark. 😀

Amazing. I went from always failing at around 30 seconds to easily holding my breath for more than a minute using the yogic breath technique.

I wanna thank this man for sharing his breath hold technique. from 40-50sec now I can breath hold at a minimum of 2mins how awesome is that! It can pass all the basic static breathing certification requirements. Salute! keep on sharing and may the universe grant your hearts desire! tah!

Thank you for the instruction, Gert! I really enjoyed your video. I'm at 1 min 30 sec sitting here at my desk (which I attempted before watching your video instructing me to do this while lying down!) I plan to go snorkeling in five months time, so I am hoping to improve my breath holding, using your techniques. I will try to remember to post my progress. I have been a fan of breath holding and freediving, ever since reading 'Through the Tunnel' as a young man. I would always swim underwater in the pool from end-to-end to practice, but this was before the web and I didn't know what I was doing and information was hard to find, so I never seriously pursued the sport. Now that I am older (53) I am becoming interested again, because I appreciate the mental (yoga) aspect to it and it seems like a sport in which age doesn't have the same negative effects. I have subscribed and hope to learn much from you. Thank you, again!

You’re awesome! I’ve been practicing yoga for over a decade, so that may have helped, but I increased my breath hold by over a minute on the first try!

Last summer I held my breath for a little over 2 minutes underwater. I didn’t have much technique, and could’ve easily passed out from hyperventilating . Thanks for giving me an organized routine to practice and become more consistent

So chuffed I found this video - 2 min 7 s on first try!! I’m a new yoga teacher, and really excited to get into free diving, it was really cool seeing the overlap between meditation/breath work practices and your steps in the video! Thanks very much🎉😊
