i9-9900K In A Laptop?!

This laptop has an Intel i9-9900K desktop PC CPU inside! So 8 cores / 16 threads and it can be overclocked, but just how well does it perform?

Given the 9900K is a hot chip we’re expecting some thermal throttling with it cramped inside a portable machine. In this video I’ll cover thermal testing, overclocking, game benchmarks and a number of CPU specific workloads like Adobe Premiere, Handbrake, Blender and more to give you an idea of how it performs.

I've also compared it against a 9900K in a desktop PC to get an idea of the difference in performance, and against a typical i7-8750H to see how a regular modern laptop compares.

I have the 9700k variant of this and I'm very very happy with it. Running all cores at 4.7 (but could get 4.9). That's with a slight undervolt. I haven't found a need to go over 4.7 ... as for gaming etc everything runs insanely well.

Helios 500 (ryzen) was getting 1780 stable on cinebench r15 multicore. Smaller than this and more polished. I'd take that one over this one any day.

Nice to see a proper Intel desktop CPU in a laptop. I'm surprised no one really talks about laptops with the desktop R7 1700 though. Much cheaper than this and still over 1500 on cinebench R15

hey i have a question . i have exactly the same laptop with the 9900k . as soon as i play a game, the fans are at 100% and the temperature is at 99 degrees. then the laptop always switches off. it is dust-free and there is new thermal paste on it. what is the problem? I despair

I have p750DM. I bought it a week ago(yes in 2023). Its so good! I use Quadro m3000m and it runs all my fav games smooth! 4 hard drives is a blessing for me!
