That's terrifying. My electricity bill used to be only £30ish a month - has doubled since March. I'm just about scraping by, but if it goes up again, I'm screwed. And that's a person living alone in a bedsit with no central heating, so families with little 'uns/elderly and multiple rooms to heat...ouch. He paints a real picture when he mentions public spaces as a place for the general population to go huddle up to avoid increasing our bills... 0_0

2 things need to change- 1 is nationalising the energy industry, and 2 is allowing Scotland a referendum to get away from WM which will allow us to sell excess energy to the national grid so we aren't spending thousands of pounds a year on energy.
Not Tories and those who are disgusted with the status quo are always welcome to join us in Scotland :)

I used to pay about 100 pounds a quarter for gas.months ago I negotiated £70 a month direct debit because of arrears due to successive estimated bills.last month this was increased to £175 a month.i enquired about this and was told it cant be cut but rather will be increased drastically in the autumn.this situation can't be sustained. I am a pensioner living in a studio flat and am ready for civil disobedience and street protests.
