A suppressed .300 blackout solely for home defense would be perfect because that's what the round is for. For end of the world, a suppressed longer barrel 5.56 AR is best

Great gun. But home defense I would definitely use something cheaper and still reliable. Police will confiscate your weapon to do the investigation. It’s going to take a while to get it back.

I’d Re-barrel to .300 blk, ditch the magnifier, ditch the laser as both aren’t needed at all in a standard home defense situation. Use 205 - 220 grain subsonic hollow points.

For basic home defense a PSA 300 Blackout AR pistol with iron sights and a red dot optic plus a light is all you'd need. This rig is the COD SHTF special but I'd like a longer barrel on it for those purposes.

For me, the I would change to Geissele SD-E trigger and I would run a T-2 with no magnifier in a Scalerworks 1/3 mount.
It’s a M18, Keep it slick!
DD fixed front and rear irons
And I would run a BCM vert grip canted forward
And I’m a surefire guy.
I’d be running the scout pro with pressure switch in a Cloud Defense mount in the 12 o’clock position and Surefire Socom suppressor.

I like it! What's the point of the riser on the EOTech, though? I've been seeing those a lot and I don't quite understand what they're for.
My EOTech is like yours I think with the QD for lower 2/3 co-witness. If you had to transition to backup irons would you still be able to see it or would you need to remove the optic?

I would’ve gone with the G SSA trigger, it’s actually crane spec and certified to be “combat safe”. You don’t want a light competition trigger on a duty rifle bc of stress induced negligent discharges. And the SOCOM RC2 can is pretty much made for this gun (other than kac can you can’t find). I have two of these setups, one with the eotech and magnifier, and one with a 1-4x LPVO. I love em for what they’re designed for 100 yds and in.

I'd switch out the front and rear you have for standard MBUS front and rear, a Radian Raptor charging handle, and a Magpul CTR stock. Other than those little things, love the setup
