116) 50/5=10, the middle or 3rd child age, since the gap of every child is 3, then, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16 are the ages of the children in ascending order..

117) LET X be the age of C, B=2x, A= 2X+2
A+B+C=27
x+2x+(2x+2)=27
5x+2=27
5x=27-2
x=25/5
x=5, therefore B=2x=2(5)=10
