Love the peace of the countryside and the slow pace of life, really pleased that you are still going Nigel and that you are enjoying your life.

Keep going lad! The doctors gave my mother a max of 4 to 5 years due to heart failure. That was at age 63 in 1985. She died two weeks ago, aged 101. Doctor forecasts of life expectancy don't mean much to we northerners!

I'm 29 y.o. girl with long hair and your version of slow living speaks to me much more than that aesthetically pleasing versions that you've mentioned (like sitting in a log cabin, drinking tea and watching the grass grow). For me planning and organising activities that are interesting is essential to live a life that I enjoy and want. If I don't do that, I'll probably end up sitting down in front of a screen (phone or laptop). Your accent is nice (I understand everything, although English is not my native language:) I'm glad I found your channel, I really needed this. Greetings!

My friend, I have only discovered your videos this morning. I too am from Gods country in the very North of England, I grew up in site and sound of the river and the fields. I spent my childhood with a Border terrier and a fishing rod.
Later years seen me get a career and work hard for a life I never wanted but others aspired me to do.
It has taken me to my 50's to realise I had the richest childhood anyone could have had. I am now in my second childhood, a Border terrier saved my life, he took me back to the places I had forgotten to rediscover the things I missed. Thank God for what he has given us, thank God for this life.

"Keep busy, but at a slow pace.." Words to live by, real wisdom, thank you.

I’m with you on the way to live a slow life, even though I live in the Scottish highlands my life is far from floaty dresses and long tresses lol. It’s mostly muddy jeans and wet boots.

I'm 66 and just retired... I worked as a teacher and I really liked my job. But one day I just felt it's enough now. I retired, bought a dog and a motorhome, and I'm planning to sell my house too, just get a small flat. I live in the middle of Sweden and and I want to see the rest of it... I really appreciate your channel and how you discuss things- I can recognize myself sometimes 😅. When you talk about hobbies and say- don't let the day just pass- do things you like- enjoy life- be curious... I will follow you. Peace and love from Sweden ❤

The videos you talk about exhausts me. They are about "me" showing you how to live the slow life. I don't need to see them enjoying eg a field. They are just influencers trying very hard to inspire. I like videos like yours: low key but in good quality and just talk about what fills your heart right now.

Just found your channel! I’m a retired 69-year-old American, but my dual-citizen son lives in Sheffield with his family. I lived in Wales from 2004-2009 and I would go back in a heartbeat. Nothing like the British countryside! I just love it.

I'm 65. I was forced into the slow life in my late 50s from a damaged nerve in my jaw and a few eye surgeries. I can't plan my day until I wake to determine what pain level I'm dealing with. It was hard to change my time management life after raising 3 as a single parent but once I accepted it I am grateful. I don't stress about getting things done anymore. My favorite thing to do is get up early, sit on my patio and just watch nature going about business. That's when the universe decides what I'll do that day. Funny how it rarely resembles what I try to plan the night before. Being outside is healing and meditative. I no longer worry about what I thought had to be done.

I’m also a new subscriber and left a message elsewhere about my sedentary life at the moment. I mentioned the video being the virtual kick up the bum I needed. I now have a new problem - your videos are addictive and I’ve already spent too much time sitting & watching them 😂! It’s time for some action - albeit s.l.o.w. action. Cheers Nigel👍🏼

Well I'm a southern, straight single male of 48 and I think that you are beautiful and really quite a handsome man to look at and listen to so there Nigel. All the best.

What a wonderful video ... I'm so pleased that I stumbled across your channel. I retired about four years ago and have been trying, with some success, to slow down. As you describe there are so many videos out there that equate slowing down with doing very little. That's just not practical ... or frankly desirable for me. How refreshing to find a video that says ... its OK to do stuff, it's OK to have a plan to keep busy, it's OK to have hobbies and interests ... just do all this at your own pace. Keep busy ... doing what brings you happiness. Thank you !!

Ive taken a huge chance this year. I sold my suburban house and moved to the sticks. My income has taken a hammering (for the time being) and im now starting phase 2 of my life changing plan. My advice to everyone is simple...Give up materialism. Get yourself into a position that makes you truly happy. Do at least one constructive thing every day. Get rid of your TV and dont waste time listening, watching or talking to anyone or anything that doesnt keep you on track

Best video seen in a long time. And the best part of it, it's not a guru talking but a normal man - someone we can all identify with. Well done Nigel, and thanks!
