Amazon said that Prime members will soon see the default two-day free shipping reduced by a day. CFO Brian Olsavsky said during the company's first-quarter earnings call that it plans to spend $800 million to make the change. The move will put pressure on retailers like Walmart and Target to respond and spend more money to make sure they can meet shoppers' delivery expectations. Target and Walmart shares are tumbling on Friday, following Amazon's announcement.

Let Amazon use the flux capacitor, have Amazon ship 2 days before you order it, that way it arrives the same day....as far as you know.

They should offer a cheaper version of prime without the video service, I have prime but I never use the video service

“Corporate welfare” is actually a GOOD thing, at least for Amazon. I’m dependent on them, but they may risk strikes

Hold on. They changed the two day from order to doorstep towards two days from shipping date... now one day? Hmm. Been fooled once. This will be one day from shopping date...
