T-Mobile 5G Home Internet - $50/mo Unlimited Data – New Portability Terms Found in FAQ, RV Boat?

Показать описание
T-Mobile offers a home internet $50/month unlimited data service that has previously been for fixed locations only. However, they've never enforced it and the plan has become popular with RVers and boaters for a mobile internet solution.

T-Mobile has updated their FAQs to now officially allow moving the service to locations where there is T-Mobile signal - making this now a viable option to consider.

I dished Verizon and AT&T for T-Mobile and couldn’t be any happier.

We've had the T-Mobile Home Internet for about 9 months and it works very well. Our router is the old Nokia model that is grey.

If you know you have good T-Mobile service at your home and the website says not eligible go to a store or call T-Mobile. Website said I wasn't eligible but I still got signed up. I get over 300 down and 30 up where I am now. Great service.

Wish there was unlimited data for their hot spot devices also and for the same price.

So tempting. I'm a truck driver and I pay $55/mo for prepaid AT&T. T-mobile's security issues give me pause though.

My mother and brother used this service for several months until they were finally able to get 2.5gbt fiber at the house and they were both able to do what they needed to do and even stream 1080p content without many problems. And the house isn't in that great of a coverage area. If I were doing extended RV touring one of these would be my first pick for internet.

Been traveling with mine since I was a Beta tester . Then got the newer gateway and kept traveling. Life is to short to play by all the rules . But it appears now I am playing by the rules lol. And I know several other Rv travelers that use the sim in their own devices.

I have this as it was the only option available once I decided to cut the cable. Saving about $75 a month even with Netflix, Disney+, and YouTube TV. I wanted the Hulu home plan without the adds, but found out it is not compatible with "mobile" devices, such as this. That's why I went with YouTube TV. Sometimes I get 400+ Mb/s but averaging about 150-200 Mb/s which is working out fine for us for streaming movies (sometimes up to 3 devices at the same time) without much buffering. No issues with gaming or teleworking.

I work about 15hrs a day 12 one job 3 the other and having steady internet to game with would be a godsend....that is if it actually works

Just got mine yesterday. Only $30/month and testing at 400 Mbps over wifi is more than my house needs. Plus YouTube tv for half off is nice. Just shaved a ton of money off compared to cable company internet/tv. About twice as fast as my 500 mbps cable internet plan that never came close to 500. Usually 3 people on their phones, Ring doorbells, while streaming in 4k is no problem. Not sure why folks think they need Gig service, unless they're hosting gaming parties?

I picked up a T-Mobile home internet, yesterday and used it, out at our family farm. And I have been getting text messages, saying that it will interrupt 911 and fire response, if I don’t move the address.

Hey, just letting you know that there was a misinterpretation of 'move'. What T-Mobile is saying is that if you're moving (as in moving houses) you can take the gateway to your new address. They are not saying that you can take it wherever with you, however you can unofficially do this but it breaks ToS.

Been working great for us, hooked to our Peplink Balance20x for failover and modified to accept 4x4 mimo antenna connections via our roof mounted Mobility 42g. Band N71 is just too good. Currently producing speeds at or above our Starlink with 10x the upload bandwidth on average for 80 less a month. Much more gaming and conferencing friendly with a lower ping, latency and average ping than Starlink as well.

Thanks for the update. I really want to get this when it is available in our area.

With that particular version of the router, is it better than the previous model? The one that is cylinder shaped? That's the one I currently have but I'm not at home right now to remember the model. Is there any advantage from that one over the previous?

I called TMobile yesterday and spoke with 2 different associates. Both of them said the service is fixed to my address and that I won't be allowed to move locations. So I didn't order it. But now I've decided that I'm gonna go ahead and do it anyways. Worst-case scenario - it winds up not working well in my RV, so I leave it at the house and cancel my Frontier fiber service. But I hope it works because all the other plans and services are much more money for much less data.
