If anything it will benefit me because I’m a $50 a month grandfathered home user that doesn’t abuse the plan by traveling. Like he was saying in the video, people that are abusing it and traveling into my area when they’re not supposed to be here are cutting into my bandwidth so this is only going to help me.

I do however thing $160 is outrageous. I also think T-Mobile is wrong because even though you weren’t supposed to travel with the home plan, T-Mobile was outright telling nomads that they could do it so that’s messed up.

Been traveling all over the country with the standard T-Mobile 5G home internet plan. Everywhere from Florida to California and up to pa. Always works great no issues $50/ month.

I have the home gateway, going on 2-3 years I think. I am full time RV but have a "home base". I told the people at the store what my plan was and no one batted an eye. I went to southern AZ a few months later and could not get the gateway to find signal. Of course, my cell phone had issues getting signal too but it was there. I ended up giving the gateway and service to my Mother-in-law to replace her $150+ "high speed" internet. Now I'm looking for another mobile option.

I have been eyeing starlink but the monthly payment has kept me away. One thing that T-Mobile chart didnt show is that with starlink, you have to buy the equipment too. It aint cheap either. I guess ill check out your other videos to see if you have something that might work for me. I just need a hotspot with external antenna. Lol.

I have an RV and I only really need internet access when I'm in a campground. The wifi at the campgrounds are hit or miss when it comes to being good enough to stream TV off the internet. What would really help is if TM would up their Hot Spot data capacity. I currently have their best cell phone plan and the hot spot data caps at like 40GB (?) which really sux. I would gladly pay a little more for unlimited hot spot data, but $160/month Away Plan is

What’s to prevent someone from using a T-Mobile phone SIM card in a3rd party gateway like Invisagig? I can get a second line for just $20/month. Phones are expected to move around so there should be no issues

No way am I paying $160 a month for something I used 10-12 times and maybe 50 days a year! Are they nuts! Please do a follow up video on alternatives for RVs. Great channel. Thank You!

At first, I was going back to Spectrum, but I noticed my T-Mobile home internet would get 5G. Since I ordered my internet about 60 days ago, it always stayed at 4G, and it stayed under 72 Mbps. Now it's 460.90 Mbps. I'm not sure what happened 60 days ago, but I like how fast it's going.

I tried the T-Mobile home in my motorhome Even with a rooftop antenna. Definitely don't need it at home since I have fiber but on the road starlink makes more sense. Star Link is $150 a month but if you're only going out a month at a time you can pause it for as long as you want and not pay anything. My cellular backup is a peplink dual SIM router T-Mobile and AT&T which cover the areas with trees. Was disappointed T-Mobile home didn't perform so well.

Just order 5G internet. I got the Plus Plan. Thanks for the help. I'm dropping Starlink. TM is $70. SL is $120 a month. Starlink really has no tech support, although it's stupid simple to use. For travelers. Starlink roam is great. I'm keeping it for that on a use only basis.

Ridiculous prices. Tmobile is forgetting its roots as a lower cost network. This makes switching to Starlink a no brainer as it wider access and getting better all the time.

does the verizon cell signal booster work for 5g home internet? 🤔like would i get better speeds?

$160/mo? Whatever they're smoking must be pretty darn expensive... There are a lot of unlimited data "tablet" plans out there that work just fine with a USB dongle.

We have been considering Starlink for a few months now anyway, this just pushes us to that decision. We travel for winters in the south USA and T-Mobile is usually so slow in the tourist areas anyway . Everyone with StarLink has good internet in those areas so our decision is made .

We have the regular unlimited plan and they recently put 1.2TB data cap and we use the internet 24/7 is it worth upgrading to the home internet plus plan?

I got the $50 prepaid voice/data plan with the inseego hotspot but the guy who sold it to me (at a store) told me that the speed will not be slowed down. I may try that sim in a T-Mobile home internet router to see if it works too.
