Ya know that one bards college quest with the drum? Well on my first main game that didn’t break so I couldn’t beat the game, a dragon killed the quest guy and now I eternally have a random drum.

That's when you open the console, to either spawn in a new one or to complete the quest

Happens to me every play through! Always at least one side quest in a city where somehow I killed the wrong person. I never remember it! I try to go back through the saves and never figure it out lol!

Just use console commands to spawn them back in then you can kill all you want
