Kool antenna. N9TAX also offers a 70cm only antenna that is very compact (though it will not roll up as small as what you are testing, but it is half the price). They will also make the antenna for any frequency you desire as your center frequency. For me it's not just about how small you can make it. It's about performance also. I'd be interested in seeing the SWR over the band comparing the two antennas. Making an antenna from twin lead vs. cloth is going to result in more precise construction which should give better results. I get it, it's super small and that is of value to some. That would be much better, if there was a bladder in the back you could inflate and deflate. It would help to strengthen.

Add the "survival" antenna sold on Amazon to your testing. They are always sold out but work very good. I've found in my location, my scenario, my conditions and my equipment that it slightly edges out the N9TAX.18 mile 2 meter 7 watt qso to a mobile.

Did I qualify that enough?

I wish I could get my dad to watch youtube. He is so old school like 50s, 60s old school. I got my license in the 70s when I was 9. I got started with tube radios. One was huge and give a good shock.

My dad would listen in on my morse code because it would make the zenith analog TV flicker. 🙄

HEY SO QUICK QUESTION. IM LOOKING FOR GOOD HOME BASE ANTENNA, TO MOUNT TO MY ROOF, ON THE 6TH FLOOR. BUT IM NOT SURE WHAT WOULD BE THE BE THE BEST SOLUTION.
