SPEEDSCAPING DUEL - TAKAYUKI FUKADA VS. STEVEN CHONG

preview_player
Показать описание
The clash of the Titans. A duel between two world-renowned aquascapers: the Master - Takayuki Fukada, and his apprentice at the Tokyo Aquascaping Union, Steven Chong. They both have exactly 1.5 hours to finish a 60p tank each - they say they do these speedscaping sessions often in Japan. The winner is decided by vote and his planted tank will be displayed at the Green Aqua Gallery. The looser's layout is auctioned on location. The only question is: who will win? The Sensei or the Padawan? Filipe Oliveira from Aquaflora joins us to help make a decision.

DUEL DATE: March 8, 2020

Fukada's tank is a classic however Steven's tank has an interesting abstract quality to it

Both are great but the young dude made a very radical tank. Beautiful... I would vote for him.

A good vid for beginner's to learn the method-- how to train like a TAU member and sharpen your aquascaping skills. Much Aloha to the beautiful world of aquascaping! (Also I figured out why I keep accidentally saying "wonderful", it's because Josh did it too and it stuck in my head-- blame the master course and Balazs' sense of humor)

Both tanks look amazing! But I must say, Steve's tank really is something 👍! Different, and I love how the hardscape was used. Would be awesome if it was possible to see how it's looking by now.

Fantastic job all around! I have to say both tanks are amazing with each one having their own idea. If i had to select one it would be Steve cause I love the bold look of the aquascape. Having Filipe as the final judge, who could ask for anyone better than the master himself. The other thing to consider in this video is SPORTSMANSHIP, even though it was a competition, both men complimented each others work. With Takayuki Fukada as the master and Steven Chong as his apprentice, the relationship between each other and compassion of each other work really shows. THANK YOU Green Aqua for setting up this friendly competition!

Fukada's was a familiar, tried and true tank, but Steven's was on another level in my opinion, well done!

So amazing work takauki and Steven both are awesome in this hobby...they are professional in this. One tank is full of plants and give more space for maintenance also... second tank is full of rocks and woods, steven use whole space of tank for make natural rock looks, it's imaging idea, he is my favorite also. Both tanks are full of inspiration for us....green aqua make my day with video...I m miss Balazs sir so much...Balazs sir make update video on your home planted tank.. thanks green aqua for boost this hobby..

Hi guys! Great way to start the day.
I don't regret on picking Fukada's work but I understand why Youtube picked Steven's work now. In picture looks bold, more impressive but live, Fukada's tank is more impressive, this why the audience there picked his tank too.
Some tanks look better in picture than live, but we need to take in consideration the time the tank will need to mature and Fukada's tank will look more impressive afterwards.
Take good care of yourself and stay safe.

What a lucky buyer, he got that tank, done by a master for under 200 €. As always quality video and information.
Thank you Green Aqua team👍👏👍

Great work! Such a speed - from empty tank to ready composition with 90 min. I've spent about a 6 hours for my latest 57l aquarium.
The work of Fukada san is more natural and relaxing, but Steven's tank is a drive, youth, rebel. Very fresh design. But painful maintenance, I suppose :)
