Thanks for this. Just had a new belt installed in my SW4200, and after an hour of mowing time it has started to make a loud and short squeal sound just as I engage the blades. Then everything works fine. Do you have an idea of what might be wrong? Thanks again.

Great tip, taking a picture of the belt before taking it off! But what if the belt has come completely off?

Friend I understand you did this with Toro recommended safety in mind, but there are about 6 steps most people will not need to do :) The deck need not come off, just the idler spring. Reattaching that takes a screwdriver used as a pry bar through the hooked bend, and sliding it back to the deck eyelet hole. You also, if you are deft enough, onl yneed remove one drive pully cover as you can force fit 1 side (Exhaust side) with fingers under the bevel (I am 6'5 and 210, my hands will not fit so it's both covers for me :P )

The most complicated part, and you do show it nicely, is the belt threading positions.

I came to check the idler pully count as I sheered ONE off with a fill line that was surfaced and under debris. I now realzied Ive bought an additional 70.00 in parts...but Im sure ill use em some day :)

One thing I do notice is your wheels. I use solid material, turf front wheels, and back tread read tires as I live in a WET area and sliding on one of these beasts is a nightmare.

Thanks, gives me an idea of what to look forward to when parts come in later this week. I however have a timecutter 42 (twin blades). I will look further and see if someone is working on that model just in case there is some minor caveat to beware of.

OMG! You don’t have to remove the deck. I watched a different video and did it in 10 minutes without removing the deck. I am a 65 year old woman by the way and this was my first time doing it.

Good ideas. I tried that with the wood and failed. Went back to spring puller had ahard time. So I hooked the spring puller placed the hook a couple rings back on spring…hooray able to put spring right on.
Still your video kept me from taking it to Toro 💸 also getting belt from Amazon big savings.
Still I like my Toro Titan zx6000. Consider this just routine maintenance 😊

What is that roller / bar on rear of mower?

So I just replaced my belt and noticed on the left side of the drive pully the belt is vibrating. The right side is totally still. Is this normal? This is when idling with the mower deck is OFF!

Hi, anyone has a video for clutch and muffler assembly for zero turn mower 48" 2000 series. I am having a hard time putting a new belt.

Or you could use Genuine Toro Parts. But nice video, lots of room left intially on the belt so good to explain early that this is normal. Other key is--after use for a year or two, many leaves, sticks and grass will get stuck in the blade pullies under the two covers. Of course, cleaning those is important to keep the blades running well. And while you have the deck down to change the belt, change the blades at least once a year if you cut weekly.

There's a diagram on the deck on how the belt should be set

It’s an essential point that when your mower is delivered it has the belt. Lowe’s sucks!!!!

Interesting how you dont show what a pain in the ass putting the deck back on can be.
