Fun fact: in the video where he “goes back to elementary school”, there's a scene at the very beginning where the MrBeast crew introduce themselves to the teacher, one of them being Chris, who said “my name is Chris and nobody likes me”. That one part is now gone.

These are not “charges”, he has a CONVICTION. That means he admitted to a wrong-doing (wrong doings) or found guilty beyond reasonable doubt by a judge or a jury. Disgusting.

My wife has an assault charge for stopping our former next door neighbor's child from being kidnapped by his meth head father who didn't have custody rights. When the cops finally showed up to stop the bullshit they couldn't figure out who was guilty and slapped everyone but *miraculously* ME (for reasons I will not elaborate on other than thank god for Castle Doctrine and 2A) with misdemeanor assault charges.

Despite both of us making good money in IT and higher education, my wife's epilepsy expenses put us in a spot where we could only afford a public defender. When our time in court came and she went before the judge, she was offered a plea of a misdemeanor intervention program that required 50 hours of community service in her flavor of choice and a $250 fine, or we go to a jury trial where she faced up to 5 years in jail.

I told her to go to trial, there's no way she'd be convicted. Her PD told her to take the plea and avoid all the risk. My straight A student, never been in a fight before that, magna cum laude graduate, masters and DBA holding wife was in the biggest panic of her entire life and she took the plea. We had a slam fucking dunk, including body cam footage, neighbor witness testimony, and my own audio recordings from the 911 call and she still took the plea because the fear of WHAT IF THE SYSTEM DOESNT WORK FOR ME was too fucking big against a 5 year possible sentence.

There are PLENTY of reasons why people take the plea when innocent.

People who think 11 and 16 isn't a big age difference either forgot how they acted at those ages, or they never interact with kids at all. When I was 11, I was playing Minecraft and I had a plushy collection. When I was 16, I was doing odd jobs and dropped out of high school to focus on personal stuff. I did end up graduating, but damn. At those two ages, I was a different person.

What’s worse is that people forget that ANYONE could “technically” be innocent. But fully taking the chance of hiring a RSO when you work to make content for children is disgusting. Especially with the leaks proving that Ava and Mr Beast were in the same discord server full of minors.
