I was just approved thru Aetna Part D for Wegovy for cardiology patients. It has just been approved by the fda & Medicare part d

Wegovy and Zepbound should be covered. Could avoid weight related consequences like hypertension, adult onset diabetes, and cholesterol issues.

I feel it should be covered. It would help me because I’m prediabetic due to my weight & I have to take cholesterol medicines. Weight loss would take care of problems like these. It would also help with other problems many seniors have like mobility & stresses in joints due to weight.

Yes, absolutely! Many co-morbidities can be resolved with weight loss. Less need for medication related to blood pressure as well as hyperlipidemia (just to name a couple). It could save insurance companies so much more in the long run.

I don’t take Ozempic but I do take Rybelsus for my Diabetes. With this craze of weight loss I have had to wait up to a month to get my meds. I have learned to put my script is as soon as insurance allows me to.

I think they should approve weight loss drugs. Extra weight causes so many avoidable illnesses by losing weight. And these illness are very expensive to treat.

Shopping for part d plan, but none of them are sharing their drug lists

Ozempic is not indicated for weight loss, so No, it should not be covered. In the rare occasion that Ozempic is partially covered, the patient must be insulin dependent. So much for prevention.
