And yet, these - at first glance - simple designs can easily captivate you, and when you get right down to it, seemingly tiny changes can completely transform the entire look and feel of the watch.

And now I know why all the watches I like are from the late 1940s, Playful Leaf Hands, etc. 😂 Way to go. And thank you Marcus. Great article.

The quality of your videos is excellent, particularly the content. The lighting and photography and the quality and condition of the watches is exceptional. Keep up the good work.

So recently I was going on a flea market checking the things that were on sale and I got my attention on an old wristwatch that was sitting in a pile of watches. It was in quite a rough shape and it had a cracked glass, but I ended up buying it for $25. It’s not even close to the watches that are shown in this video, but now I know from which decade this watch is: a mid to late 1950s dress watch due the hands and hour markers. Thank you.

I like the Omega. Oh my goodness and lots of the others too. Smaller watches are very preferable in my opinion.

Super useful video! By the way, would you happen to know the ref number for the watch at 2:10?

Thank you. Is it Marcus? You make great videos. I like all watches, but love watches from the 40’s most I think, with 50’s following. I have watches from 1919 to 1999, and prefer them with sub seconds. I have a question. Some watches hands are gold in colour but the markers on the dial are silver. Why is this? To me they don’t look as good, even odd, even though I have a couple like this? Was it just experimental and playful? Or is there a good reason! Ta.
