How to Automatically Find Duplicate Entry with Color Change in Each Row of Data in Windows Excel
Показать описание
When we are dealing with a worksheet full of names or numbers, there are high chance of missing duplicate entry/entries by visual checking. Therefore, it will be easy if we have a system in place to check duplicate entry "Automatically" in Excel (in Windows). You can use 'Conditional Formatting - Highlight Cells Rules - Duplicate Values' under 'Home' tab to find duplicates in columns. However, this function does not help in finding duplicates across rows. This video shows how you can automatically find duplate entry in each row using a formula in 'Conditional Formatting'. This video allows easy detection of duplicate entry using color change. A dupliacte entry will immedately change color of the row.
This method of detecting duplicates in rows can be applied both before and after (in existing data) data entry.
To start the process, press in keyboard alt+o+d OR in Home tab Conditional Formatting - Highlight Cells Rules - More Rules OR in Home tab Conditional Formatting - Highlight Cells Rules - New Rules to display the Conditional Formatting dialog box. In the dialog box: select 'Use a formula to determine which cells to format' (last option). Please follow the video after this step.
If you find the video helpful, please subcribe. If you have any question or need any clarification, post your question/comment and I will address those as quicly as possible. Thank you!
