I hope this video has opened your eyes to the many benefits of rural living. What is the top reason that you want to buy a piece of property, and what drives you nuts about your current location?

This is so informative. We have a ten acre lot in my family and thinking about replicating my childhood home on it. My childhood home is originally in the city. Just something I’m thinking about in the future. I enjoyed the video.😊

A) You forgot to mention goats! Who doesn't want a goat! B) Can I live in your barn? Great video!

As someone who has only ever grown up and lived in the country, where our neighbor literally shoots off a canon and blows up Dynamite, I can't even fathom the fact that it is legal for someone to restrict you painting your front door. Like how does that ever come to be as a legally allowed situation

I think no one can deny that peace, silence, and space is amazing. All rich people desire this, for example people that live in Hawaii.

I moved out of Chicago in 2021 after 10 years and planted myself in the burbs. Best decision ever. My boyfriend and I want to move farther out if his new job allows, geographically ❤

The problem with the countryside is the lack of comforts and the people

Living rural has always been better but climate (therefor location) does have a big impact on it. You can feed yourself throughout the whole year with a few chickens and a field if you're resourceful enough. Living rural means living by nature's rules which... We ALL should live by. This modern, industrialized world just doesn't make sense to me.

Not dying because of a tooth infection is good, yes. But is the modern way of living, city living worth destroying everything around us? Farmers don't ruin the land, they live together with it. I'd give up all modern commodities if it meant humanity went down the right path.

This is also an option that is perhaps only possible in a wealthy, first-world, big country. Because in the old world, folks typically don't have homesteads, big farms, and ranches with all the creature-comforts of machines, tools, A/C, good building, etc.

Most of the world, farmers are not owners, rural living is basically as dense as urban living without high-rises, you have a LOT of noise, since people don't respect noise rules (or etiquette) and just blast it into their cheap speakers.

There is a LOT of people mucking about in your business. Cities, in these societies, is where progress, a good life, wealth, ideas, and dignity becomes possible.

HOAs need to be mandated. In places where people want a local government but there isn't any, that's all they do, provide amenities. In units that are physically touching each other (townhouses, condos), all they should do is decide a non-profit maintenance rate and keep maintain the community.

In 1800 5% of the world's population lived in cities.
In 2025 55% of the World's population lives in cities.

This has been the trajectory of human civilization since the Industrial Revolution.

The worst part about rural areas is a lot of grocery stores are awful. Lots of processed stuff.

Does everybody just use farmers markets?

Extraordinarily large block of land in rural North America vs city living.

Some of these reasons and the size of these blocks as accessible to the average persons purchasing power are very North American specific.

I was interested in what you were saying, but the background music is intolerable to me. Thanks anyways.

Why would someone want some much money tied up in one property when you don’t care to much where you live because there is so much world to explore and why would someone want to spend so much time maintaining such a big property like that and spend so much time doing activities in your home when there is a whole world out there with many other things to do
