LP(a) are small particles that are a form of LDL or low density lipoprotein, also know as "bad" cholesterol. Too much of these particles can lead to coronary artery disease, heart attacks, strokes, and other heart failures.

Ask your doctor to check your LP(a) count the next time you get your blood test to see if you are at risk.
