BEWARE! Sony BANS PS5 Users Exploiting THIS PS Plus Loophole...

Sony is Banning Playstation 5 owners from PS membership who are using their newly acquired PS5 systems to log in with credentials of someone who doesn't - to add the 20 free PS Plus PS Collection games to the accounts of PS4 users. This was SUPPOSED to be for PS5 owners only... but why?

Sony shouldn't ban people for a mistake Sony made. Sony is losing a lot of goodwill with the way they've handled things regarding the PS5 launch and now this.

Game sharing was a big issue on PS3 and they started limiting how many consoles you can re-download games to, and some required the original user to be logged in to play it

I'm sorry but I need to rant. This completely stupid from Sony. There are a ton of PS4 owners who want a a PS5 but can't find any available in retail & don't want to pay the scalpers. What were they expecting people to do? So what's next is Sony going to update the PS5 so it can't play used physical games. A couple years ago I used my Ps plus account on my gf's brothers ps4 so she could play some of my games & I didn't get banned so why now? What rule are people breaking Sony?

They should have added this service to the ps4 and bypassed all this, no resson not to, ps+ userbase would have grown exponentially overnight, just goes to show where Sony's head is at now than they've had success, Nintendo is of the same mindset, it's sad to see, you can't win these little games with hard nosed tactics, I completely condemn the people charging others for it as a "service" but at the same time, there's bound to be some people exploiting this loop hole at home, maybe an older sibling gets a ps5 while the younger sibling is still on ps4?, Sony are digging themselves a hole here.

Maybe a week ago I asked my friend who was lucky enough to get a ps5 to do this for me. Hopefully I won't get banned in the future. Didn't even cross my mind that this would become a problem. Wish they warned everyone before starting to ban people. Loop holes are not technically illegal unless the company declares them to be.

if they just want this for PS5 owner, simply include a code for this collection when purchasing or pre-ordering, problem solved! But no, they are too lazy to think about that and just make that every accounts login onto the PS5 can get this collection, it's their fault, not users's fault

Ok I was confused on what you was saying until nearly 4 minutes in. I don't think Sony should ban people for this they are desperate! They don't want to be left behind with a small library when they finally get access to a PS5 Sony should find a way for us to add things to library or something.

Theyre not banning the normal friends sharing their games. Theyre banning people who are charging others to get access to their account

but what if i had a ps4 in my own house and wanting to download these games than ? bcz already I had a ps5 and a ps4 and have downloaded ps collection on both consoles but not get banned yet . Should I remove the account on ps4 or what because I own both consoles .

Eh. Would have been better to extend this offer to ALL PS Plus owners, IMO. Like you said, it would be a cool way to celebrate the release of the PS5. Especially with the difficulty folks are having getting their hands on the newest system (which Sony is BOUND to be aware of). Then people wouldn't feel the need to "illegally" download games (which they shouldn't be doing, but still).

Do you know if I’ll get banned if I download the games on my PS4? I own both consoles and I use the dame account for both, not planning on selling or something... just wanna play the games on PS4 since I’ve read not to put any PS4 content on my PS5 or it’ll start acting crazy.
