*"These are people who are uneducated - they don't understand that this is a plausible scenario."*
- A direct quote from EAs Chief Creative Officer, Patrick Soderlund, when pressed on the utterly disrespectful butchering of history in their game, Battlefield 5.

I hope this analysis and all the many others go to show just how "uneducated" your games fanbase is, Mr Soderlund.

Remember when Dice and EA was calling players "uneducated" for saying this game is not historically accurate?

The length of the video says everything about this. How Dice got away with all this surprises me. It's like Activision and Dice were having a contest of who could anger their fans more by creating the worst and most inaccurate WW2 games ever.

There's 3 levels of inaccuracies roughly in games.
1) "minor" details like uniforms & weapons not lining up with dates (which are easily forgivable)
2) "major" details like the entire wrong uniforms or weapons on troops (which are much harder to overlook)
3) "inexcusable" details like different nations participating in events

1's are really nitpicks and while its fine to bring them up we can't really fault them for not investing significant time into catching every possible minor mistake.
2's are really simple mistakes and shouldn't happen more then a few times (if at all), but some forgiveness should always be in the wings because mistakes happen.
3's should never happen. These aren't fine details that are easily missed or require years of research to fully understand and chart out.
These are so basic even wikipedia cant mess them up. (and that's quite something)

It's really tragic to see how far dice has fallen...

All these inaccuracies can date back to the Community Manager (correct me if I’m wrong) saying to the fanbase “I’ll find myself on the right side of history, accept it or don’t buy it”
This shows Dice and EAs attitude towards this game was never about being historically respectful but by writing their own safe version of WW2 :/

And someone at dice said to the fans: "These people are uneducated"

For The Last Tiger, part of the reason why so much of the American gear is so inaccurate is because at the time it came out the Americans weren't even added to the game, so they were mashed together with whatever assets they had, and they never bothered to update it after the actually added American stuff

i think the biggest sin is that the M1903 springfield is completely absent from the game

One more thing, not sure if someone pointed it out yet, but at the end of the British campaign, we see that the German soldier who was captured by Billy is still banging on the trunk to try to be let out, but the panel that moves is actually the engine bay hatch, which means they crammed that poor man inside the engine

"Nah, trust me, their uniforms looks cool so it must be right" -said nobody that wasn't working on this game

Here is a fun fact: Panzershreck was developed based on the captured M1 bazookas, apparently a few earlier versions did make it to tunisia before that was wrapped up

It’s not a surprise how much bfV recycled bf1’s assets. Sometimes you can glitch yourself while reviving and have bf1 medic syringe as your weapon

Dice logic be like
"Using winter gear in the desert"
"Using desert gear in the winter"

DICE avoiding historical accuracy like Japan avoids talks about their party in Nanjing 1937

The funniest thing is that swastikas are absent from BFV but in the Nordlys mission you can see a text that reads: ''As war rages across the globe, Western Europe falls under the shadow of the Swastika'' 48:18

Man, I felt like the campaign was just complete garbage. However, I will say the “Last Tiger” carried the hell out of the campaign.

It almost feels like Dice researched how to be as inaccurate as possible.

32:04 Additional inaccuracy: The reload animation for the STG44 shows the magazine being rocked back into the magazine well, which is often incorrectly depicted because people assume it works the same way as an AK47 due to the visual similarity. In reality, the magazine is inserted straight into the well
