Does the stock radio need a code if it's reinstalled later?... or if the battery is disconnected?

I recently got a stock radio from a guy who sold his 2016 Tacoma truck. I'm thinking of installing it in my 2011 Honda. Just wanted to know if it needs a code if I swap out my stock for this one.
