very small update 177 kb , has no new features, this is the future of Windows 10, boring but it works.

Never underestimate how much damage a Microsoft update can do regardless the size :^)

Sounds good. Just minor updates for 3 years sounds great actually.

I'm actually liking not having loads of massive updates. this is how it should have always been. its been updates that caused most of my problems in the past.

My understanding was that 22H2 would be the last feature update. Security updates only will continue until the end of 2025. With all the "enthusiasm" around Windows 11, it looks like the elves at Microsoft are trying to salvage the ship before 11 turns into another Vista or 8. I'm glad to see that 22H2 won't be a system breaker.
I have 11 on a laptop and with StartAllBack it can be made to look like 7 8 or 10, so if you are forced to downgrade to 11 at least the functionality can be put back in the operating system. I tried 11 for about a month and then broke down and installed StartAllBack.

I doubt we will see any more feature updates for Windows 10. At this point it's likely only security updates and bug fixes. They're more focused on Windows 11 and a possible Windows 12, and if they are thinking about a Windows 12 we may not see much for Windows 11 either. They do see to be working on application updates, but for those it doesn't matter which OS you're using so that updates to Edge could work in 10, 11 and a new OS if they want it to.

I learnt that this is actually quite obvious but most people have forgot about it. Windows 10's mainstream support ended on October 2020, and extended support lasts until 2025. So from Windows 10, Version 20H2 onwards, the changes to new Window 10 versions are minimal to none.

Since Windows 11 was released, Microsoft is no longer added big new features to Windows 10. Notice that the last update builds have been increments 19041-19045. It doesn't make sense to have these small update

Thanks. WinTen runs FB on my shack computer and handles all my radio tasks. Probably by the time WinTen expires I'll move my Win11 desktop over to the shack and get a new "main" computer. Or... maybe by then Chrome OS will be able to handle all my radio needs.

Is there any point updating to W11 yet, is it still lacking W10 features? I turned off the TPM in my W10 Pro main system because I personally couldn't see the point of the downgrade.

The problem with windows 11, if you have a laptop older then 4 years, you won't be able to update to windows 11 anyway. It has to do with the older i5 and less, and an inferior/combo graphics. offers no real advantage, and people will wait until windows 12 to actually update their system. I'm still waiting for microsoft to add AVB to the firmware, to add audio interface for recording. Maybe by that time they'll finally do what the consumer wants.
