He does the bare minimum because HE’S OVER. He doesn’t have to do a lot. He had a 60 minute match with Kurt Angle.

one of the misconceptions about pro wrestling is that its just fun and games. But the average person cannot do what those wrestlers do in the ring

Mir vs Lesnar 1 was right in the middle of my heyday watching UFC. I was part of that ultimate fighter, Spike TV generation. I had fallen out of it by UFC100 but I damn well tuned in. Maybe one of my favorite fights. The rubber match could have been cool but I'm happy with what we got and thinking 'what if' is usually more fun. Mir has always been such an affable personality. He reminds of a hockey goalie. Weirdly chill for someone comfortable with being hit in the face a lot.

I do have to say I honestly believe Frank Mir could’ve been the greatest heavyweight ever. Unfortunately that motorcycle accident fucked everything up. But give the dude his credit, he swung with, and beat some of the best the sport has seen.

Imagine if brock went into training mma in 2000-01 instead of pro wrestling he would have been the best ever

Its like dan severn once said, he sustained more injuries in his wrestling career than in his fighting career

Hate how mir downplays everything especially Wanderlei Silva. Like how does talking about Silva and Brock make you a casual fan?

Wrestlers are on the road 250+ days a year. Crazy schedule

I was not expecting this to be about his wrestling, thought he was gonna say lesnar did the bare minimum in the UFC. While there was definitely a period where he did do the bare minimum to get by in wrestling I don't think that's the case these days. And his promos have gotten so much better.

Still beat Mir's ass. And got ripped off in the first fight.

Love Frank. Probably my favorite heavyweight mma guy to watch ever…. But Lesnar held that man down with one arm and pounded his face with the other….ive never seen anyone beat worse than that. Frank in his prime, absolute maestro in that cage.

Mir said he wanted to be the one to kill Lesnar in the ring! Of course Lesnar doesn't want to fight him again. Lesnar and Mir are different types of fighters, so the minimum for Mir isn't the minimum for Lesnar.

He bare minimally beat the absolute piss out of Mir, twice.

People dont give frank the respect he deserves and considering some of his fights I bet he dont have a very long life.

the rivalry was Lesnar... Mir settled the rivalry with Big Nog and proved who the best HW BJJ artist of all time is.
