Working in the video streaming industry here. 10k isn’t a lot. High end streaming platforms use ABR to deliver streams, that is using AWS MediaLive. Just the encoding costs could be 5k / month for a single MediaLive encoder, depending on the region.
Then it quickly adds up with the EC2 origins, Cloudfront egress, load balancers and AWS MediaTailor when someone wants SSAI.
Cloud is mad expensive

my current employer has an amazon bill significantly above that top end you mentioned... they're even running former mainframe COBOL batch processes. It's WILD what that block diagram looks like.
