Best USB Chargers and Power Adapters 2024

Best of 2024 chargers and power adapters is heavily opinionated, much less heavy on facts and data than the usual content, it is by no means a guide or instruction set on choosing a charger, it is a list of chargers, why is this content… These are my opinions, so yeah, I am very likely of a different opinion than you. My guidelines for choices are hopefully clear enough…

It's disappointing to see well-regarded brands like Anker and UGREEN fail at making good, high wattage chargers, but that's why channels like this one are so important for consumers

This channel is a great resource. I promise when I have some extra cash I'll find your pattern and donate. The world needs more folks like you doing this. Full package.. you know the topic, have the hardware and know how to make a watchable video.

I appreciate it. My whole charge setup has been cycled out for better stuff based on your vids.

I'd like to thank you for making these videos. By coincidence I chose a decent adapter for my daughter (laptop/phone/ipad). But judging by these videos it could easily have been a mess.

What did you mean about the satechi 165W(i am one of those who doesn't know)?

Thanks for your videos! If given the choice between a $159 ZMI no. 20 and a $149 Anker 250W 27k powerbank+station, what would you pick?

I wish there was a good stackable high wattage charger like Hyper Juice's 100w stackable charger that got recalled for safety issues.

Loved the design, color, ports, capabilities, and the dim night light ring it had

Thanks for the 2024 retrospective, better to rush it before the big holidays in the US. But its time to build the mythical 100% efficient charger.

Always solid content. I am would like to see your coverage of the new USBC-only offerings from Anker. I am most interested in the 4 port 150W option.

Maybe I'm mishearing, but are you saying it's better to use a higher watt charger for a lower watt device because of thermals? Like a 100w charger for a 65w device?

What is worse about the anker 2024 100w? It's on sale for 50 vs 85 for the 2023 😢

I have a question I have not been able to find a good answer to, and hoping you can help! I just got a Lenovo ThinkPad X13 2-in-1. It came with a "two-piece" 65W charger (has a removable cord going from the wall into the brick, then an integrated USB-C cable out of the brick to the laptop). Lenovo also makes a 65W Wall Adapter that looks slimmer and lighter, where the brick itself plugs into the wall. It's also $20 cheaper. Intuition would dictate that a larger, more expensive charger would be better, but is it? And how-so (ie, what does the larger charger do that the wall adapter doesn't ~ power delivery, regulation, surge protection, etc)?

Based just off of size, I'd be okay using the "two-piece" charger if it's better charging, even though it's bulkier. BUT there's a 2nd problem in that I would love a 2nd USB-C port so I can charge my phone using the same adapter (like the Surface Pro power adapters). However, Lenovo doesn't make one like that, and looking at 3rd party devices, they are all the "wall adapter" sort of format rather than the two-piece charger. So I'm looking at a Belkin adapter ("BoostCharge Pro Dual USB-C GaN Wall Charger with PPS 65W") that's a wall adapter but with two USB-C slots. I understand that when having two devices plugged in, it would diminish the power the laptop. But overall, how would this compare to the Lenovo two-piece charger and the Lenovo wall adapter?

Thank you!!

I installed the Ampere App and it works great to evaluate cables and chargers. I test the various chargers and cables I hav in different combinations to see which work the best and to determine which cables can be thrown out.

5:58 A nitpick. It's not "effectively", it's "efficiently". All power adapters are effective as in they all get you the same effect which is the device being charged.

Thanks for your work!
What would be a brand to look for if you want a multiport (atleast 5 ports) charger? current use would be mainly for phones and tablets. security and reliability would be my main concerns.

I like the amazon 65w because it works with everything...
It's small enough so it's convenient and powerfull enough that it can charge a laptop if needed (at slower speeds...).
Thank you for all the videos!

Hello. What's your take with foldable plugs? Is it worth it over regular ones?

For the ugreen 300w nexode, is it good if i just want to have a single device to charge my wireless keyboard, mouse, and xiaomi pad 6s pro, and xiaomi 12t pro? Or will the ports still die with this low wattage devices?
