I don't think your expression of p-norm for a matrix is right. Take p = 2, then the expression for 2-norm is the same with the Frobenius norm, which is not the case generally.

Really nice explanations. Only issue I had was a little too many "uhs". It starts to get to distracting a less than a minute into the video. Other than that, really helped clear up some questions. Thanks!

Why use 1- norm, and other? What do they even mean in real life. I understand the algebra but I need information which is beyond formula. It would be great if you can help with some example.


Do they mean "error function" which we want to minimize in machine learning?
