The Saxon princes moved to Munster. The daughters of Boudicca lived with Queen Meabh of Connacht. Mogh Nuadhat brought a Spanish army (goths, Romans, Celtiberians maybe Carthaginian north Africans even).
German and Italian priests of course.
Ireland was a much more diverse and interesting place than what our teachers can tell in their limited time. It wasn't just Cranogs -> motte and bailey -> Normans.
It was full on game of thrones, with exiled princes fostered in foreign kingdoms.
