The ONLY Way To Play?! CRUSADER KINGS III PS5 CONSOLE REVIEW

CRUSADER KINGS III ON CONSOLES IS HERE! And you know? It's actually quite good - perhaps even the best strategy game on any console ever. That's a weird thing to say isn't it? Crusader Kings III on PlayStation and Xbox. I still think it's weird that it's real, but it actually is! I've been playing CK3 on PlayStation 5, and am ready to give you my opinion on the game. In this review I talk about the new controls, how everything is to play on the big screen, and what the game is like on PS5 in general, especially considering the fact that the game comes without any DLC, neither Northern Lords nor Royal Court. But is CK3 worth it on PS5 or Xbox Series X? And how is the performance of CK3 on PS5? Should you buy CK3 for PS5 or Xbox Series X? Let's find out!

Played the tutorial for about an hour. It for sure has a huge learning curve, but it should still be doable for me. I'm so excited it came to ps5. I almost bought a cpu just for this game. Hopefully I can figure most of it out before too long.

I am completely new to this franchise and an older player. I downloaded this for Xbox last weekend and I am hooked! Learning curve? Oh yeah! But I can pause, do a little research, and start moving along again. I keep getting my butt kicked and am having a fabulous time doing it. This is the mental challenge I needed.

Console release should have come with all dlc as an incentive. Like pillars of eternity, pathfinder etc, I know they're not the same genre, but these console editions are very niche, having all existing content would be welcome for new and old players!

It is a tough game to learn for sure but after a couple of hilarious failures I formed the empire of hispania as the king of leon on easy mode and im hooked, im still not sure how to do certain things but i think this is another game ill put a thousand hours into like civ6.

I've played PC ports on console for about 3 decades. About 15 years ago I actually decided to get rid of my PC and honestly, I haven't missed it (only own Playstation now). I get to play the highest quality games available and the good PC titles get ported too.
I started gaming in the seventies and never would have imagined only gaming on one platform (before the millennium) but it's 100% doable and I reckon I'm enjoying myself more now than ever before :)

How happy I am! I'm playing on xbox, the game was released on game pass. But because I love this franchise so much, and appreciate the work done and for releasing the game for consoles, I made a point of buying the game in its complete edition. The game is exactly what I expected, just spectacular! Thank you Paradox for making this dream come true.

I am a first time CK 3 player and downloaded it on my Series S console a few days ago. Ended up going on an overnight bender and can’t get enough of it. 😅

It's heartbreaking that there is no royal court for consoles yet but I think it can be tolerated because porting such game for console is a hard-work in on itself (at least that's what i guess smh)

Maybe it's because I started playing Stellaris on Console before trying it on PC, but I found Console to be a lot easier to manage and find everything. I think a big hassle for me with CK3 (tried first on PC, now on Console) was that I was thinking it'd be like Stellaris on Console, how everything was in subcategories instead of clicking through blue text and icons. I tried Stellaris on PC and while I do think it's fun it was like relearning the game. For me it's just 2 different ways on handling the game through UIs, while the core game is still there (other than the offset of patches)

Update for console: This is around late may 2022 no we don't have the royal court or character customization yet and honestly there has been no update or info on when we will get those or if we are even getting it.

Just got the game for $17.50 off Amazon for Xbox Series X. I'm sure the learning curve will be steep, but have watched some videos and I think this will be a great buy for me!

Where is the "find people" option on console??

Where you can look at all the characters on the map and invite them to court, arrange marriage etc.

Can't find it for the life of me...

The start was definitely rough to get a good grip on controls and how to easily navigate.

To be fair, all controls make sense and it is really great and they do deserve a respect. After all, its something new for them, they gain experience from developing which I can only imagine how hard it is.

We can expect some great QoL changes in upcoming updates.

I hope regarding claims and title of a character they add icons as at PC and you can see them via L3 hover menu.

And at giving a barony, to enable filter such as with marriage. This part is for me most annoying, as you have to sweep a whole list (200+) to find somebody with optimal faith/culture which leads to then searching him manually in a proper county/court to actually see his traits and decide. Which leads again to sweep through whole list.

I've only ever played one strategy game before and that was on mobile it was a world war type game where you had to occupy and capture the whole world, ck3 definitely seems more difficult but I like a challenge and the games downloading on ps5 for me as I write this comment, hopefully it becomes a favourite game for me.

I am a console player and I'm very happy this came to PS5. Love the game. 
Never really had the Paradox Strategy experience before, but I'm loving it! Too bad to dlc's a lacking a bit behind though, I bought the big boy edition (whatever its called) but sadly no DLC as of yet. O well, it'll come eventually I guess. x)
