Here are the 4 common parenting styles:
1. Authoritarian: a parenting style that is more harsh, rigid, and demanding
2. Permissive: Permissive parents tend to be very loving and responsive to the needs of their children but they have low expectations of them too.
3. Authoritative: Authoritative parents still place high demands on their children but with more warmth. They will respond to the child's needs without being overly indulgent or permissive.
4. Neglectful: Neglectful parents rarely give praise or love, rarely impose rules, and generally
leave a child to figure out things for themselves.
